Africa is the second largest continent, and also the second largest in population. There's 54 countries, each with their rich and unique cultures. Two of the biggest highlights are the
Nile River system, the longest in the world, and the Sahara Desert, the world's largest.
This continent is very large and has diverse climate, hence why it's a bit difficult to classify into one category. On average, summer goes from November through January, while winter spans June through August. Rain is plentiful during the summer, except for Cape Town. Overall, in Africa seasons are not determined by the typical 4 climate states like in Europe and the United States. Instead of spring, summer, fall, and winter, most countries have dry and rainy seasons.
