You're in Downtown Denver for just a couple days and are looking for the trendiest places to visit. You want to make sure you spend your time wisely, of course. Visit the Dairy Block! A destination for both locals and tourists.
It's easy to get overwhelmed when going to a new city and planning your trip. It doesn't have to be! Denver might be famous for places like Larimer Square, the ultimate concert venue Red Rocks, its parks, breweries, but... Have you heard of Windsor Dairy?
Back in the early1900s the brand was well known in the Denver area for high levels of quality, freshness and purity. In 1920, the famous real estate known today as the Dairy Block, was purchased by Mr. H Brown Cannon on behalf of Windsor Dairy. The revamped Dairy Block project opened in the spring of 2017.
Nowadays, the widely known complex area located in downtown Denver's LoDo neighborhood is a trendy micro-district that houses 15 shops, 19 restaurants, 7 bars, a co-working space and a boutique hotel. As you walk by, you will find many different types of art pieces and the cutest instagrammable spots.
The DB is ideal to stop by for a quick bite. If you're into coffee, you can't leave Denver without trying Huckleberry Roasters. Their coffee is superior, the Avocado Toast has a massive amount of flavorful avo and for those with a sweet tooth, you can't miss the blueberry filled croissant.
For the undecided hungries, you should visit the Milk Market. In my humble opinion, it's the heart of the block. This casual food hall has 16 stalls with all different options. Ideal for the undecided since it has everything from breakfast, lunch, dessert, and even happy hours.
If drinks is what you're after, then consider going to Poka Loka, Moo Bar or Seven Grand. Poka Loka offers elegant bar bites, classic cocktails and high end social bar vibes. Keep walking and stop at Moo Bar. Even though originally it wasn't supposed to be named like that, I love it. It's the perfect not-so-random touch to the Dairy Block! Then, Seven Grand is heaven for whiskey drinkers. They have over 700 whiskies available. And yes, you're reading that right. There's no better way to describe 7G than 'pub meets speakeasy'.
There's always something going on, so I recommend you check out their event calendar to get the latest info. 😉
